Our Ministries

Community Meal

When our sister church, Clearview UMC, teamed up with us here at Uniontown in July 2024, they brought along some pretty amazing ministries, like their Community Meal Ministry. Back in the late ’90s, they noticed people needed help, so they kicked off a food pantry and eventually started a free monthly meal. It’s been a great way for people who live alone to hang out, share a meal, and make new friends. The Clearview ladies were a huge blessing, helping us figure out how to plan big menus, what works, what doesn’t, the setup, bulk shopping, and easy prep for large meals. They even filled us in on which recipes people love and which ones- not so much. And the best part? They reminded us to chill and enjoy the time with our guests each month! Since we started hosting the Community Meal at the end of July 2024, we’ve had a wonderful time meeting and chatting with everyone who stops by. Everyone’s welcome to join us on the last Wednesday of each month for a free meal—served from 4-6 pm, whether you want to eat in, take out, or do both. Just park in the back, come through the double glass doors, no ID needed—just sign in so we know who’s joining us, and dig into some good food, great company and desserts!

Is a group of women who love the Lord and are eager to serve Him with the talents He has given each of us. Their motto is: “she opens her hands to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy” Prov. 31:20. These ladies meet every Monday in the church Fellowship Hall from 10a to 2p. These ladies sew, crochet, knit, embroider as well as many other crafts, making things for their Bazaar in the fall. No experience is necessary- all are welcome to join, just bring a lunch for yourself. If you have any questions or would like more information, please call the church office (330-699-3587) and we can have one of the members get in touch with you!
